Looks like a great circuit, I imagine the drivers will like this one. The layout does'nt seem to be particuaraly special but the track undulations appear to make some of the corners rewarding

Agree that it looks like a normal Tilke circuit. Lots of corners that are conceived to be great corners in isolation but when you link it all up it just looks like someone had X fast, Y medium and Z slow corners with a range of straight in between.
And how bloody long is the straight between 3 and 4?

Does anyone else not like how all the new circuits seem to have the same overall nature to them.
A decent straight or two with a hairpin, a few fast corners, a few more slow corners.
The older tracks have more distinct personalities, where it was all about speed (Old Hokenheim, Monza), high speed corners (Suzuka) tight and twisty (Monaco) or great elevation changes (Brands).
I prefered it when the tracks didnt all just average out to be the same sort of track. Its nice to see a car that doesnt excel elsewhere suddently put on a good show on a speed track (eg Force India at Spa a couple of years ago). All these new tracks suit 'all rounder' cars, and we almost always see the same cars do well or badly.
I think if i was Tilke, after all the tracks i'd designed id be thinking 'Ok how can i make this track totally different, lets make it completely speed focused.' Or, 'Lets make a track that really tests how the cars ride the bumps.'
What bugs me is not only that most of his tracks are boring, but also that he seems to be making the SAME boring track again and again!
