I've voted for Jenson Button because I am a fan of his and McLaren so for me he has provded the most enjoyment. If I was completely impartial I would probably put Seb first as he has driven a nearly flawless season (and no matter what car advantage he may or may not have that is special) and then Alonso equal with Jenson as they have both worked hard at nearly every race to get the best results possible and seemed to have a positive attitude in a season where it must have been very frustrating to not be a Red Bull driver.
The 3 most interesting drives this season have been the top 3 in the championship, all for different reasons.
Vettel has driven probably the most perfect season aside from Mansell in '92. Yes, he had the car, but as Webber has shown, that is not all it is about. Done exactly what he needed to do, from the front on the whole. A like able chap as well, damn his shoes!
Button has had a mixed season. Generally poor in qualifying, but made up for it with race pace. The drives in Canada and Spa as highlights, (Canada still seems unreal...). a little unfortunate with the 2 mechanical DNF's, but a good season never the less.
Alonso as usual has a knack to wring the feck out of a car. His performances in the Ferrari have been very good, especially with the difficulty they seem to have with tyres. Been gradually getting better as the season got going, so could have been up there in 2nd had the car been better from the get go.
So, for interest, I'd say Button, (but then again I am a fan), then Alonso, then Vettel.

I had to vote for Button, Vettel has had almost everything going for him, car, team the works and it has been a conspicuously good match. But Button pips him for coming from the back of the field, for out-thinking and wrong-footing his opponents, taking risks with strategy and best of all, being entertaining, not in some 'celebrity' way, but in being so engrossing in almost every race, I love the race not the racers and he has raced and raced well. The season has been a joy to watch and the racing has overcome some of the least attractive circuits I've ever seen. Button by a nose [sic] for me and I really admire Alonso, a real racer and to my mind comes equal second to Vettel this year.

But - I've really enjoyed watching Jenson's season too. Tough call between the two of them I think.

Have really enjoyed being proved right by Button for the third year in a row though.
(for the newer members I've been defending him on here for years and years and years and years...)

Or you could say that Massa has underperformed the car making Alonso look good. Plus he was somewhat gifted a win when the overrun fuelling rules were changed for one race only which somewhat disadvantaged the teams with the faster cars.He's out-performed that Ferrari at nearly every race, it's clearly the third best car and he's still only 10 points off of second place in the championship.
Button for me.
Took a huge amount of flack for having the confidence to move to a team where he wanted to challenge one of the best racers in the business. It was a brave decision and two seasons in it's paid off better than most would have dared hope.
More than anything though, he has consistently been the most entertaining to watch on the track (and off of it) and has been a great example to any aspiring young racing drivers.

I'm quite surprised that so many voters haven't gone for Vettel. As mentioned above, I'm by no means a fan (Jenson is definitely my favourite of the current crop) but Vettel's season has been pretty much flawless and he has comprehensively outperformed both his team-mate and the rest of the field.
I didn't want him to win the WDC and I wasn't particularly pleased when he did, but his performance this year has been exceptional and I certainly think he has looked every inch the worthy champion. Perhaps the perceived ease with which he has won this season has masked the significance of what he has actually achieved.

This.I cannot see how he could possibly have performed better. A mistake under pressure from Button earlier in the season is about the only serious error I can remember.
Blazingly fast, totally committed and utterly effective.
I've hugely enjoyed watching the Button/Webber/Alonso scraps this year, but fingers has been pure class all season.
Button got the final nod because I'm selfish, I want to be on the edge of my seat and Vettel has had me amazed and sometimes awed by his ability, but he rarely has had me on the edge of my seat cheering and Button has had me jumping out of my seat punching the air a few times this season. If I were more dispassionate then Vettel would take the crown, but Button, for all those, 'go on my son' moments takes it.
