There's no other car that I really would want to buy, if I had the money to do so.
But my god - how unearth can they make such a boring corporate video about such an exciting product !?

Going to switch off so it doesn't ruin my dream of owing one at some point wink

it did get better but not by too much, my son decided he was going to bed rather than watch the last 10 minutes of the program, and he loves McLarens and the MP12C in particular

hehe

Really enjoyed it myself - though I would have thought they'd have touched a little more on McLaren's previous attempt at a road car.

MGJohn,

Thanks for the heads-up, well, I enjoyed the programme, and even if the motoring mags pick the Fezza over the Mac, anyone want to bet which of the two will be functioning as its maker intended 10 years from now . . . . . . ? rolleyes

Rather than the commentary saying "This is the first road car McLaren have ever attempted" you mean?

I enjoyed the programme but, I knew I would on account a life long disease known as car nut.. smile

Couple of proof read fails for the narrator's scrip.

Mating TWO four STROKE engines to make a V8 whilst correct, I'm certain should have read TWO four CYLINDER engines.

Never aspired to Italian exotica or from any other region, but, you know what, if I ever win more than a few quid, put me down for a 12c... in that superb blue or Volcano Orange ... or any colour except silver.

I have HUGE respect for Ron Dennis and his vision. There can be no doubt that this car is a game changer and is very special.

But, for his road cars to be successful, he needs a little more.....emotion? F1 is about numbers, supercar sales are about the heart.

I wont mention the F word, but those Italians know how to do this. I know that Mclaren have already listened to the reviews (EVO in particular) but they need to seperate the F1 and road car cultures.

But keep a strong dotted line.

Actually said first range of road cars...

Was more bothered by how, during the footage of the F1 at Millbrook, it was referred to only as 'the XP5'.

Judging by the threads in LF&B the evora ripoff doesn't work as Mclaren intended right now.
