DRS final analysis?

Personally I love DRS. It's not worked out as fake as people feared, certainly myself. If DRS doesn't result in a direct overtake it allows the follwing driver to close-up much more than a normal draft does, giving extra opportunities in a non-regular overtaking point in the next corner or 3 after the DRA zone(s). i.e. LH, even LH, would probably have never been able to challenge FM in India without DRS...
In Abu Dhabi it looked like the double DRS zones where creating a pass then repass scenario but even this can be used to tactical effect - observe Webber passing then being repassed in the next DRS zone, only later in the race where he realised this would happen, he then started to use DRS to close right up, then peform the pass in the next DRS zone. Another dimension for drivers thinking on their feet and good stuff imo.

Personally I can't stand it. The only way I'll like it is if there are no restrictions on it, and the better drivers will use it earlier out of corners and get more of an advantage.
Same as KERS for me, they need to lift the limits and allow the better teams and drivers to make the most of it.

I thin this year has been a learning curve for DRS - worked well in some places, poorly in others.
Overall, in the absence of a massive reduction of downforce, it's a least worst option, and we've seen some great races aided by DRS - especially where it has aided a faster driver out of position to move through the field (e.g. Canada, one of the most compelling races since Brazil 08- Massa vs Hamilton)
