US GP returning?

What do you make of the fact that the USGP was meant to be on the F1 calander for 2012 but soem people think that this may not happen and might be postponed until the 2013 season?

I think Austin is dead..

NJ will probably run for a few years then be dropped if they don't embrace it.
(or make any money) Bernie has the profits from everything apart from hot dog stands)

Interesting tactic - negotiating your contract to what you want it to be, then signing it and sending it to Bernie.

I agree - but I'm more on Bernies side on this one. If I did a business deal with IBM, and then IBMs subcontractor turned up and said they wanted to renegotiate and "here's our new contract in our favour" I would be losing patience rapidly.

Being stiffed? Can you explain how they been stiffed? There was a contract, there now isn't one, and they want to negotiate by sending Bernie a signed contract with massively different terms?

They tried to stiff Bernie and failed. They all have equally low business ethics by the sound of it but there is only going to be one winner when Bernie is involved.

as i understand it, although this is largely from a bernie-friendly outlet, austin were expecting to pay the circuit hosting fees one year before teh race in order to secure it, so July this year. Then the schedulers (bernie?) pushed the race back to the end of the year, as July in texas is a bit warm. The circuit promoters then we're able to pay the hosting fees more than one year in advance of the race, and things unravelled from there. Had they come up with the money, then apparently the race would still be on. *if* you believe that story, then bernie hasn't done any dodgy dealing, he just pulled a race that didn't pay.
