I've booked up the hotel for this and now am looking at tickets. When I went in 2006 I seem to remember that you were free to move between grandstands - you weren't just restricted to the one you had a ticket for. Is that right? Does anyone know if it's the same for 2012 as choosing the grandstand now is so difficult. Having said that given they're all the same price then Casino Square one day and end of start straight for another seems best. Any thoughts anyone?

I went in 2010. A fantastic weekend!

It was great to go to a race event free of corporate hangers-on.

I was not able to book a roaming ticket in 2010, but chose seperate stands for Sat and Sun (Casino and Tabac)

Is there a specific route the teams have to take to get to Monaco? I found a rough map in this month Echappement magazine, which traces their route coming close to where I live (from Glasgow). I thought it could be nice to see them drive past...

Two different things I think, historic Grand-Prix and Historic Rally.

Thanks, I had found out what time they are leaving, and a map of Europe showing their route to Monaco, which looks to go past very close to home. I was hoping someone would know where to find the exact route (if it is a defined route)...

My wife and I have been several times, and we will go again this year. I buy my tickets on the web, but the first time we went, we bought tickets from a trailer near the ACM club. The last several years, I have seen ticket booths in front of the Tourist Office. The seats to Casino square are generally sold out by then, and maybe one other section down by the harbour. I have never seen a ticket that allows you to go between the different locations though, but maybe it is new. I ended up buying extra Saturday tickets for section K as well as tickets to Casino Square. We wanted to see a different area this year, as well as our normal seats.

I would recommend a dinner a Stars and Bars since it is adjacent to the temporary pits. I believe Stars and Bars are also renovating, so we shall see what they have changed.

Hi,

May 12 and 13 for practice and races. The cars arrive a day or so before, so we tend to also be there on the Friday.
