New WEC LMP team

There is talk that a new team wil start in the WEC in a HPD prototype and that it is a former GT team.... That is all

My guess is JOTA they were due to make the step up but the AMR-One failed a bit...

JRM wil be racing a HPD ARX LMP1 with Brabs likely driver candidate! Another British team and another petrol LMP1, good news all round!

Dempsey going LMP2 racing in the WEC aswell. Has to be a closed cockpit car though so it doesnt ruin his hair

Team principals Patrick Dempsey and Joe Foster confirmed to SPEED.com that Dempsey Racing will enter the LMP2 ranks sometime in 2012, and has not yet ruled out a debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans this June.

Yeah I was hoping they were going to announce a Mazda deal at the same time but I guess they still need a bit of convincing. How would a rotary diesel work? lol

Very interesting times, WEC and ALMS wise. DSC is also reporting news re: the factory Peugeot effort and indeed the factory Audi effort.
