You can only keep losing the one race you are trying to win a certain number of times before 'Le Grand Formage' calls time.
I think that this might be the last year we see the full fat Pugs, assuming that the plug isn't pulled in the next few months. There are just too many serious players coming back into Endurance racing and the writing is on the wall for them. Audi can get away with it as they have dominated and it is almost good PR for someone else to win once in while to prove that it really is a challenge.

Source? There are rumours all over the place and have been for some time. They have reportedly approached half a dozen privateer teams asking them to run the programme, but not ORECA who are now tied up with Toyota.
Simon Pagenaud and Sebastien Bourdais are both doing full season Indy programmes this year, Nic Minassian has apparently left, Wurz is at Toyota and Lamy had been dropped so they don't have many drivers left either.
As someone else has already said, it doesn't really matter how well the team does elsewhere if they keep throwing the LM24 away in spite of having the faster car and with Peugeot laying thousands of staff off in France it's very hard to justify tens of millions of Euros on a programme that just isn't delivering the results.

Well, I just wondered if the OP had facts.
I thought the same about LMP cars- was a GT man.
Turned up at Le Mans many years ago, watched the Audi's et al in the flesh..WOW!
The ACO need equal rules, and fair "petrol/diesel" balancing and then its all good.
Hope Pug stay, Audi and Toyota all do battle to raise the awareness of these great cars, and great championships.
