I wonder how reliable that article is, given that they've shown a picture of the wrong team...

It ain't official, but the source is this and Autosport etc. are running the same story. Read the article instead of looking at the picture.

I guess other teams started crying.

I thought any type of moveable suspension had been banned after '93?

BBC have it too. F1 is almost allergic to any innovation now.'the unfair advantage' is a thing of the past.

The FIA should make it a single chassis/ engine formula and put us all out of our misery.

Why should all the teams be

Sorry, but that still doesn't eradicate the issue of some cars being faster than others.

How else will Ferrari win if things like this aren't banned?

Lets hope that (somehow) Ferrari come up with something radical and watch as the FIA squirm over whether they should ban it.

ETA: I have since read that Ferrari had a system too, so I retract the above.

suspicious how Ferrari had proposed their own version to the FIA but were waiting on legality.........anyone else think they were worried it wouldn't work so moaned and low and behold it gets banned?

A real shame as ingenious stuff like this is what F1 should be about. Bet th journalist who published all the details is off the Renault/Lotus Christmas card list!

Except that was an entirely different team which is not linked with the current Genii-Lotus F1 team.
That was a Team Lotus car, the sister company of Group Lotus/Lotus Cars. Lotus Cars have never been in F1 {and still aren't in F1, they are only sponsoring the Enstone team, which is owned by Genii Capital).

In keeping with the same year, the Toleman TG181 was the car that this team (Toleman/Benneton/Renault/Genii) were running.

Apparently the FIA are also going to ban anyone with the first name 'Sebastian' too. Oh and anyone that is heard to use the name 'innovation' too.
