Most Britcar supporters & racers will be aware of the Dave Cox BMW E46, which co-driven by his sons Jason & Michael, raced at the front end of the Production field in 2011 - and achieved a fine 3rd in class at the 24Hour race in October.
Dave's car use to run under the "Race Car Spares" banner, but has now moved across to the "MMC Motorsport" racing family. MMC Motorsport Insurance are the most successful provider of GT and Sportscar On Track Insurance in the UK and its Directors (Dave, Andy Hancock & Gavin Spencer) have been in and around & supporting Britcar for many years.
The Cox family are entered for the whole Production Cup season and expect a strong showing in the class winning proven car. And at selected races this year, they will be joined by a 2nd MMC Motorsport car - the ex-Freddy Norstrom Seat Leaon Supercopa.
After dipping his toe in the Britcar 24 Hours, Gavin Spencer will race the Supercopa, with handpicked professional co-drivers (who will also be MMC Motorsport Insurance clients). Joining Gavin at Silverstone will be ex-BGT Champion & BTCC driver, Tom Ferrier. And something for later in the season - Gavin will be joined by a recent F1 star who will share the drive at Brands Hatch.

Hi Ingsy, see below:
MacG Racing have entered the 2012 Britcar British Endurance Championship with their Ultima GTR, as well as the 24hr race in October. This is the second year for the Team in the Championship, having competed for the first time last year with the car they built from scratch.
With the help of additional Sponsors, the car has been extensively modified during the closed season and the Team have re-engineered numerous aspects of the car to improve performance and reliability. After a maiden season learning about every aspect of the car, Jonny MacGregor, Technical Director, said he is very confident that the changes will result in a very successful season for the car. “We are particularly excited about the relationship we have built with Albins, who are supplying the new sequential transaxle for the car which will overcome the transmission reliability problems we had in 2011, as well as helping to improve our lap times”.
Jamie Smyth will again be joining Jonny in the driver line up, giving MacG Racing two particularly fast drivers, who will be a threat to all other teams in the Series.
