Monza Grandstands
Discussion
Chaps,
First time at Monza this year and I need assistance with best grandstand for the Grand Prix. I'm currently favouring Tribuna 10 at Variante della Roggia for a mix of decent overtaking opportunities, driver challenge and big screen view.
I'd welcome any comments you can offer. Thanks loads.

Initially looked at Ascari and first chicane as well - Tribunas 6 & 16. We're off to Spa the weekend before so wondering whether the pure spectacle of the cars on the limit will be less crucial than hoping to see some good racing. Any advice on best stand at Ascari? Also worth noting that there is roving grandstand access on the Friday so intend to have a decent wander around the whole circuit then as well.
Dilemmas, dilemmas...

Been five times. Sat mostly at the approach to Parabollica.. great sound and the turn in points make it interesting to see the differences between drivers.
Of course the very best places get bagged by the kids who camp out overnight...faces right up against the chicken fence on the way down to Ascari.
You can walk the circuit after...all 3.5 miles and its also worth taking a look at the banking...wish they bring that back...
Best circuit I recons...lots to see and hear. And all in a very nice setting.

Not sure which.Dilemmas, dilemmas...
Just a thought though.
1st chicane for the win, no?
I always end up where you have suggested, I`ve never actually booked grandstand seats though, I`ve always mooched about and mingled witht the absolutely mental crowd!
Look out for a VERY friendly group of Germans who set up camp there with tressle tables, benches, beer coolers, tons of food etc All wearing matching Tshirts!
It`s also very close to a handy parking area (field) if you follow signs for Lesmo

Tribune 15 at Ascari. You can see the approach, which was the 2nd DRS zone last year, the chicane itself and the departure to parabolica. It is where all the action took place last year between Lewis and Shuey, and only a short walk back to the pits area. There is a diamond screen opposite
It is a great event and my guess is you would enjoy it even if you were only listening to a radio outside the park gates.

i am going to monza for first time also,my question though is where bto stay.
looking for a cheap hotel maybe in bergamo any info would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.
I can recommend Bergamo, there's a few cheapish hotels there (although i cant remember the name of the one we stayed in a couple of years ago but expedia will be a good start point). Its a really nice place with good bars and restaurants with the train journey to Monza being 45 minutes and a free bus to the circuit from there.looking for a cheap hotel maybe in bergamo any info would be appreciated.
thanks in advance.
