I have just received all the bunf from Paul Ricard and it is looking very thin with very few cars for the first race - something has obviously gone very wrong apart from the tough finacial climate:

12 P2 cars (inlcluding two cars with no confirmed drivers at all)
3 FLM
3 GTE Pro
4 GTE am
and
1 GTC

in total
23 cars more likely 21 for a six hours race... I dont think this is viable I certaily won't be going to Donnington with less than 30 cars

Think you might find this is running seperate to the wec. The wec has a british round at silverstone in august. Know which one i will be going to

Its about time motors tv upgraded to HD, even if it is just upscaled footage! Its not like HD is ground breaking tech these days!

ELMS seems to me to be a Lame Duck of a series. There's a World Series that the factory cars are off racing in, the GT racers have the choice of FIA GT and Blancpain series that are arguably higher profile. The ALMS has at least got Sebring and Petit Le Mans that are strong enough events to headline the series, but ELMS doesn't have any stand alone events that would encourage participation.

The only thing that would help it would be to remove the LMP2 and GT-AM classes from the WEC and make both the ALMS and ELMS the route to invites to the LM24 for those classes (the one event that everyone wants to enter), the factory and pro- teams can then have the WEC to themselves. (This would, of course, need the LM24 removing from the WEC calendar - perhaps a step too far)
