There are some hotels alongside the circuit (Swisshotel, Ritz Carlton, Marina Mandarin), however the rooms overlooking the circuit will cost way more than a good grandstand seat and have a more restricted view, with less noise etc as well.
I cannot see the point.
I just want one in a better location than the grandstands, they don't look brilliant if I'm honest, the majority are on straights I cannot see the point.

Turn 2 grandstand would be alright but it looks like you're miles from the track. Turn 3 looks like it could be alright but is almost £1100 each, baring in mind there are 3 of us going, it's cheaper to split a trackside hotel room for a couple of days than cheaper hotel + tickets.
The Fullerton is great. You can book a suite with a track view and as Parton this package are also give access to the terrace above Forlino (and lots of free champagne on tap...) . Betweeen the suite and the other viewing area, this gives a view into and away from the Anderson Bridge and the tight left to Esplande Drive. If you get a crowd of you there it's quite cost effective. We had 8 on the balcony in 2010 and at something like Sing2000 for the room that's very good value...
I was looking at the Fullerton and it looked exactly what I wanted, really good spot judging by the pictures, but it's sold out already
Same with the Pan Pacific. The only other one I've found is the Mandarin Oriental at S$10k!
I think I'll have to pass on that! I might have left it too late for a trackside hotel and might end up even getting a grandstand yet.
