Hi all

Not been on here much as I'm not great with forums so I apologise in advanced if this is in the wrong place or not relevant at all.

I'm currently trying to build a road legal race car (will be taken off the road if racing becomes successful)

Its a long way off completion but skill going to plan so to speak.

I'm currently trying to find some one who's good with wiring looms as I need to strip out all cables not required and couple the car loom (vauxhall vectra) to the engine loom (Saab b204)

Is there anybody on here who could help at all? Even if its building new looms etc, its the only part of my project I'm not keen to try myself as the last loom I tried working on never worked again.

Cheers.

Attaching the two looms together isn't difficult in theory, if you know what each wire is for then it is just a matter of finding two that match and soldering them together. Have you been able to find a wiring diagram for the car & engine?

Converting it to race-spec straight off might be easier because you won't have to worry about most of the things in the dash or the alarm/immobiliser (assuming you want to keep those while in road spec), you just need the rev counter and some warning lights. You'll be removing everything else anyway.

Call 07799 735543 ask for Dave, based in the Chandlers Ford area. He modified my Standard loom into exactly what i wanted for my Mk 2, top job, nice bloke, and a good price.

Cheers

Cheers guys, I want to go straight for race spec, got my other car for such comforts as music and electric windows :-)
Just need to get it through an MOT legally.

I shall give him a call and see what can be done.
