.....
The McLaren Boys are skinny odds. If Jenson has an iffy qualifying, expect more generous odds. Still early days and if the 'form' of race 2 is less reliable than that of race 1 as would appear to be the case, perhaps the bookies have got it right.
I still think it's far too early to take the form of the two races so far at face value. I shall wait until after qualifying before considering a serious wager. Again, leaving things until a few minutes before the start as the weather can play a huge part.
Note: Odds for each way at the moment are for places 1-2-3. After qualifying most bookies only offer places 1-2 for each way betting.

With a few minutes to go now before the first wheels turn in P1, there are quite a few anomalies in some of the bookies' lists. If having a bet at all, do look and think before pressing the BET NOW button.
He's something I've noticed. Although both Mercedes drivers have hugely underachieved so far this season; true not all self-inflicted, the odds for both Mercedes GP drivers for various events from race win to qualifying are more than a bit tight in my opinion.
There's other things to watch out for too so look closely. Take the case of Schumacher for the race win. He's 20-1 with one on-line bookie with each way betting @ 1/5th the odds a place 1-2-3. So if MSC reaches the podium say in third, the place 1-2-3 odds for that are 4-1 ; being 1/5th of 20-1 win odds.
However, the same bookie is offering 5-1 an MSC Podium!...
... So, with that in mind, rather than have an each-way bet on him at 20-1, back him WIN ONLY @ 20-1 and take the seperate bet @ 5-1 for the Podium. For the £100 win only and £100 5-1 Podium backer, if MSC makes the podium without actually winning, they will be better off to the tune of £100 compared to someone having £100 each way @ 20-1 1/5th the odds a place 1-2-3.
You have to look closely at these things. These little differences can make a big difference to your finances ...
EDIT to add @ 2:59
With a few minutes to go now before P1, I'm going to have a small interest: £5 each way MSC @ 12-1 ~ that'll keep me awake ~ my eyelids are already a tad heavy...
I believe he still holds the lap record for this track so has 'previous'...
Practice One right now on FREEVIEW Channel 301 ~ just starting ...

John...what odds are you getting on Sergio Each Way or for a Podium? Snap for Kobacrashi.
My old system of betting is no longer available to me for F1
Checked two major on-line bookies:~My old system of betting is no longer available to me for F1

BOTH drivers are 50-1 for the race win ~ and each way 1/5th the odds a place 1-2-3.
BOTH are also 11-1 for a Podium only. Again another instance for betting win ONLY and a seperate bet for a Podium rather than each way win and place.

Can we get anything longer than 20-1 on Kimi?

11-1 for Podium for both of them? I think those are fairly reasonable, what about you?

Maybe ~ shop around after qualifying. Currently 16-1.Can we get anything longer than 20-1 on Kimi?
This is the first race this season that I have not had any bets on yet except for a little each way Schumacher in Practice earlier today. Going to wait until just before the off Sunday morning. Then we shall know the grid and what weather to expect. Button who I usually back is still favourite at a skinny 2-1. If he has a poor qualifying plus wet race, he will be possibly a much more attractive betting proposition at longer odds. If he qualifies on pole or just behind his team mate in the front row, I may be tempted to steam in subject to weather. Some reports say a dry Q and wet Race...
I have a hunch ...
.... no, not some disorder of the vertebrae ..
... but a gut feeling that young Seb will show better this race come rain or shine. We shall see. I do not anticipate an easy race for the Mclarens although I'd like to see that...
... If I see some value in any lists later I will highlight it. AreOut said:
I have put 100 EUR on Rosberg to get pole @12, I think that really represents value because mercs are very fast in qualies
I expect a better show from both Mercs this weekend. Qualifying: 12-1 is good odds. Did you have that bet before Practice 1? Currently ( post P1 and P2 ) Schumacher is best @ 6-1 and Rosberg best @ 9-1.
Button is 5-1 with Hamilton 10-11.
Vettel 15-2 ( 7.5-1 ) and 8-1 for Pole. I still expect a much stronger showing from Vettel this weekend in both Qualifying and the Race. Both subject to conditions.
Based loosely ( very ) on P1 and P2 form, my 'dark Horse' is Kamui Kobayashi. A massive 250-1 each way for qualifying and only .. only?..
... 100-1 for the race..

Well played!
The most interesting F1 Grid for a few years now. I set my alarm for six, woke up and closed my eyes for a minute or two and woke up mid-way through Q3 !..
... Typical .... so did not have a bet on either Merc... or anyone...
Sod's Law. I'm still tired.
I did have a small each way last night on MSC @ 14-1 for the race but not his team mate. Too bluddy late now.. long odds all gorn ..
