Had a good day out today. Was cold, anyone going tomorrow definitely wrap up warm. I'm working on the work trade stand there tomorrow at Rollersnakes.
I used to get my skateboards from there about ten years agoRight, well i'll get some layers on then and put my hat and gloves in my camera bag. Really should invest in a waterproof coat one of these years then.

Bloody cold up there on the banking at Hollywood today!
It's a grim place to be at most times of the year, even the summer! It's as windy as Knockhill and that's saying something. As I'm a TV viewer, I'm hoping for rain, but feel sorry for anybody who is stuck out there in it. Last time I went in 2009 where it rained a lot, we went home after the first race because we were soaked to the skin and the place was a quagmire. Stew2000 said:

Because most of the important components are off the shelf (i.e. the suspension, brakes, engine, gearbox, etc...) and they have been bolted together by multiple title winners and former Vauxhall works team : 888. The MG bit is just a shell, the important bit is that it is a top team with (like him of not - lets be honest here) one of the top drivers in the series...To quote a meekat : Simples

I don't really get the amazement with what they've done, I wouldn't really expect anything else from 888.Given the dimensions of the shell they could mock up the suspension and design the rollcage and suspension pickup points months ago, so this "the car was only built a week before brands" stuff isn't exactly true.
Thanks for the good wishes guys! Bit of a tough day yesterday, our car seems to suffer from the cold more than others and we were struggling for tyre and brake temp.
The engine also dropped a couple of lifters so we're starting from the back with a fresh lump today! The boys were up late last night fitting it and Fred the truckie only got the engine to us yesterday lunch time after a non stop round trip to Lichtenstein, so hopefully I'll be able to put in a good performance for them!
