An interview with RD in MotorSport magazine a few years ago reported that in 1998-1999 Dennis was in very serious talks with MSC.
I wonder if MSC was talked to in 2006 about the prospects for 2007....imagine that...
Was there not talk of Hakkinen making a comeback in 2007.. I wonder if MSC was talked to in 2006 about the prospects for 2007....imagine that...

I think Autosport mentioned he was in the simulators
That would of been interesting!
I think Mika probably retired a few seasons too early.

Mika was going to make a comeback however I seem to recall that he changed his mind after after 'crashing' a couple of times in the simulator.
I think he damaged his wrist & subsequently decided against his comeback. It's a shame as I thnk he would have been successful.
As for Schmacher at McLaren - that is like thinking about Senna going to Ferrari. A great thought it something that, sadly, we were denied.

Wasn't Hakkinen linked with Williams rather than McLaren around that time?
