How fast Andy? Know nothing about these MG's!
Fast for B Mike, nothing that will trouble you
The fastest MGBV8 run some very quick B times. I think they were limited to 4.1 (ala Tom Stewarts motor that came out of his rolled BV8) so 350bhp ish. They are steel bodied (mainly) but smaller than a tussie so weight wont be far off and the have some monster wide tyres.
Should be fun.
Hi guys,
I won't be at Brands. From what I know there won't be any MGs racing at Brands either (from what Joe has told me who's been talking to all MG boys!). Hopefully have a few out at Silverstone though!
Andy R is right, they are a standard MGB shell (though seam welded!) with fibreglass arches, bonnet and boot. Most run steel skinned doors though. Engines are 3.9 with max overbore taking to approx 4.1 and make from 350-380bp flywheel. If you look at www.bcv8.co.uk you can see the class D lap records to see how they compare to our class B. Their class C guys should be out too (fairly standard 3.9 making about 250bhp) so should have fun with our class C quick guys! Oh, and tyres are about our size width - 11", though some run narrower
They are about 950kg too so are running similar ptw ratios.
Have fun at Brands everyone! I've got myself a sponsor for a couple of race entries, just need another couple and I'll be out lol (or buy the engine and heads I've got listed on ebay
)
