Good Morning,

Due to get weekend admission tickets from my local motor factors as part of a promotion, having never been to a race day before I am a little unsure of.. everything.

My main concern is on the below link:

It shows the price for weekend admission but also shows extra costs for grandstands? Could someone give me a quick run down of what my ticket will actually provide as the motor factors are not sure either.

The ticket just covers the open areas i.e. standing, or your own seating. The grandstands are a separate cost on top should you want to take one. I'd recommend Paddock Hill Grandstand as you get a good view of most of the circuit.

A basic admission ticket gets you in to the track . Grandstand seats are available as you have seen but there are lots of viewing points where if you bring your own seats you will have a fantastic day these include nice grassy areas at clearways with a view of the start and finish and pits , Paddock hill bend one of the best bends in motorsport full stop, druids the hairpin where you can get right up close to the cars and can be spectacular in the event of an incident !
But the best thing about this meeting is it is on the GP circuit so you effectively can go for a stroll in the countryside and watch the cars racing as well certainly Stirlings to Hawthorns has got to be done you get to see the cars in a country setting with no crowds.
You can then get to see the cars running at top speed down the hill to Hawthorns.
All of this without a grandstand seat!
However the Grandstand seats in Paddock hill and the new Hailwoods stand are excellent affording a great view of the indy circuit element of the track and they are stewarded so you can leave and go for a walk in the gp loop and come back to your seat.
Just remember theres no such thing as the wrong weather just the wrong clothing and stout footwear is a must.

Thats the GP circuit race, right ?

Get yourself out of the grandstands and up in to the GP loop, normally only photographers up around there and you get a great view. Go stand on the inside of Druids for one race, its always interesting on the first lap
