Looking for some help...does anybody know where to find the lap record for a competitive race (not just a track day specials) meeting at the Silverstone National Circuit?

Looked all over and can't find it?!?!

Thanks

depends what formula but a 60-70sec is a ballpark for sportscars - 50-58sec for single seater types

Very broad criteria.
If you're a BTCC car, then you should be aiming for low 59's.
If you're a clubbie "Classic Thunder" class A car, then 54's!!!
If you're a averagely modified hatch, then 63-64seconds.

Are you on slicks or road tyres?

didn't Plato set a production lap record in the noble m600 not too long ago on 5th gear?

Thanks for all the help and suggestions....ideally it can be any formula just the fastest lap during a race. I assumed it would be something like the porsche carrara cup GB but couldn't find a time.

This thread makes me think of Rosbergs qualifying lap of 1985, which I have never seem (and cannot find) but it was apparently the highest average speed of a lap until 2002!
