bmw 635csi race car????

just wondering if a 635csi race car could be competitive in any uk race series. what sort of series could they run in without building the car to a mega spec. initially my first thoughts were cscc future classics or deutsch marques. although im not sure if it could be competitive in its class as deutsch marques as it would run in the 3litre and over class which includes 944 turbo and bmw m3 3.2 evo. i own a 944 turbo as well and its certainly a much quicker car than the 635, and a 3.2 evo also has around 100hp more! (and lighter)

future classics it would run in the 3-4 litre class. i would imagine this would be a much better class as it has cars of similar ages so not as much hp from similar sized engines. good thing about this class is that it keeps the cars at a reasonable level rather than full on cheque book builds

can anyone tell me what other competition the car would be facing in the 3-4l class in future classics?

and also recommend other series the car could be eligible for.

i think it would be an awsome car to race!

Future Classics is a good series with big grids and good racing throughout the pack. The multi-class element means that there will always be several people to race with and the 40 minute race length with a pit stop and success penalties for outright winners also means that there's a small element of strategy which can open the race out.

The 3 - 4 litre class may have a 911s in it, Jag XJ40 or Rover V8s etc. Most people will tell you that its cheaper to buy a race car that has already been prepared (which I'm sure it is) but if you want to take part, your 635 will be a very welcome addition to the grid, and you will get good VfM in CSCC races.
