Silverstone - Faith in human nature restored

We arrived at Silverstone yesterday, got parked up, lugged all of our camping gear to our pitch. Put the tent up and sunk our first beer. Then like a brick in the face that oh s
t momenet, we could find the envelope with our tickets.... we ripped our tent apart but they were nowhere to be found.
we asked a marshal at the entrance and some fantastic person had found them and hanaded them in. If you are this person or know of them a huge thank you. You have enabled us to have a great time so far and restored my dwindling faith in humanity. There are a couple of drinks owed to you.
Right back to the mud infested tented.....

I don't see it like that at all. The majority of people are 'good' so yes this is normal. However things like this are never talked about, or portrayed in the news. They prefer grim, sad, or infuriating news, as it is better 'entertainment'. So, it is nice to hear, rather than people thinking this is not normal.

I like to think I restored the karma balance. I gave a bloke the £10 note he dropped while buying a cuppa on the campsite. With a couple of others I helped push about 10 cars out of the mud on the campsite carpark.
On another note I hope the fella with the 300bhp MINI managed to get out ok

My mate did this two years ago now.

We had driven overnight to the circuit, my mate went to the little boys room and the tickets must have dropped out of his pocket, spent ten minutes searching around back, pockets etc until a crowd control guy came over and handed them over.
There are decent people in this world but, IMHO maybe a little harder to find.
I once fished a guys LeMans tickets out of a river going down the pitlane when it was open for a walkabout. He's put them in with his fancy camera. When he got the camera out they must have dropped out the bag. I spotted them shortly afterwards floating away from me and thought they were mine, so grabbed them then checked my pocket and now I had 2 tickets... I looked up stream and there is a worried looking photographer desperately going through his stuff! Lucky chap.
