Browsing another website and found a pod cast on it with talks about seat signing of some projects. One of them was seat uk signing a ngtc build off to a privater team?

Heres a link

So could we see seat coming back to the btcc?

Maybe as a sponsored private team, like the MGs and chevys were. I can't see them doing a full works job again.

How strange. Surely its free publicity for Seat if somebody wants to use one of their car for racing?

I'm surprised they can block anyone from doing anything, once the car is bought you can do what you like with it as far as I know.

Maybe they were worried about bad publicity if the car wasn't going to be competitive?

But that would be ridiculous and leave us with only a couple brands in each series if that was the case.

Are Vauxhall happy with the publicity that they have had this year. Several teams have run there cars in both S2000 and NGTC and well...

Intresting but who would build them team hard can't build one from scratch so would it be a build like the audi, toyotas etc.

Guess so, those cars where built by the official NGTC kit supplier so i cannot see TOCA being upset about that. Don't want to upset the people who set the boost levels...

Seeing Mat Jackson do so well at the weekend should also encourage other Marques to support small constructors / teams.

Well the Exeo is basically a re-badged Audi A4 so maybe they should talk to Rob Austin about a RWD NGTC Exeo

Apols, NGTC is new to me and google's not being very friendly.
Whta's it all about then? Same engine/spec and running gear for all?

Sort of. The subframes, suspension brakes, ecu etc are standared for all car. You can either use a toca engine or an engine from the manafacture like honda using neil brown to build the engines from honda blocks, same with motorbase using mountune engines.
Only 2.0 turbo engines allowed.
Only 2 gearboxs alowed rwd or fwd but the touring car has have the same layout as the road car. Only one car on the grid the audi a4 uses a layout different to the road car it's rwd but no rwd layout in the road car, thats to do with the way the engine in the audi is placed back to front instead of side to side in most fwd cars.
Got to be a minimun of 4.4m which is why you have some cars with bigger bodykits to confirm with regs.
The idea is to reduce cost of cars to build, run and develope and with it being only out for the 2nd season we have already got 7 new models of cars within that time.

I read a story earlier today about the Welchs and it mentioned why they stopped a potential Exeo programme when the rules were finalised, as they could only enter RWD with that layout. Hence the Proton came about.
