It has been like that for the last few Hockenheim F1 races. I assume it is because Allsport Management controls the track side advertisements for all tracks (apart from Monaco) and Mobil don’t have a contract with them, so they are forced to cover it up. Part of Allsport Management strategy is to make sure you only see one logo brand in a shot so everything looks nice and tidy.
