Only 15, lighting up F2 this season. The kid looks the genuine thing.

Thoughts?

He'd look even better if Bacheta wasn't out there as well. At 15, Tuscher's been astounding.

Not the first 15 yo wonder kid though. Where did the others go?

Problem for Tuscher is lack of competition in both numbers and quality, to give a real pointer.

Bachetta makes the point. Struggled with FR and GP3 but can't go wrong in F2.

Does seem to me that GP3 (and to an extent World Series) are where it's at for top talent. Also the top money too...

There is quite a lot of speculation that F2 will become FPA Mk2 soon.............

It's never looked like much else! The cars sound like FPA, look like FPA, and it's filled with the same mix of two talented youngsters and a few rich old grid-fillers wanting to live their single-seater dreams.

Having said that, the cars are pretty decent to watch.

Been catching up on the AutoGP season of late and Sergey Sirotkin looks like one to keep an eye on.

F2 is a joke I'm afraid; we considered it when we were making our way up through the ranks and decided it was half full of JP's old mates and then the rest were all no hopers other than a few very talented individuals who quickly went elsewhere pretty sharpish. Hugely expensive for what it is compared to other classes too.

Nah, the cars aren't as reliable.

Other than that, it's the same people running the same number of cars with the same engines. Apart from the carbon tub and the flappy paddle gearbox i don't see a lot of difference.

I believe Matheo wants to hire a couple of FF2000 cars to play at Snetterton in, so he can learn what car adjustments feel like and how they can positively/negatively influence the car and its laptimes, because he doesn't yet know.

That's not actually hat uncommon. You need a good race engineer to run the day going through a set list of.changes in a certain order to make it make sense. It's very easy to get confused otherwise.

We spent the day with martin donnelly yesterday and he is looking after Tuscher at the moment (driver training/set up stuff) he told me that this kid is the real deal and mega mega fast although I never got round to asking him if he has the finance to go onto bigger budget stuff.
