Who is Hamiltons Boss?

Ron's the boss of McL of course, but doesn't mean it's his decision where LH drives, he can offer him a drive for £x or not, LH can take or leave it. Christ it's the same for most people who work, never mind one of F1's top stars.
I would guess Lewis has a min figure in mind for the sake of sanity, but his great driver (if you excuse the pun) will be getting WDC number 2, if Ron says, "well Vodafone have left us, Maximuscle aren't paying nearly the same, the road car project isn't going to turn a profit until 2016 and it's bleeding us dry so sadly we're cutting the R&D on the F1 team and projecting to be competitive at a level in front of Merc & Lotus, but behind RB and Ferrari, nicking the odd win" not that he would say that! But I suspect Lewis's management would be picking the phone up to the other teams.
Too many people assume employment is a one way street, you get a job and your boss tells you the way it's going to be. There's no difference between Lewis Hamilton and McL, than Stan to self-stacker and Tesco - well apart from most teams would kill to get him to drive their Car.

If I was him I'd do a 12 month extension at Mclaren and sign for RBR for 2014-2016.
And if I were them I would say 5 years, £10mil per year and £5mil per WDC you win in that time or take your chances at HRT.The talent is out there and available at much nicer price.
LH is a great driver and has the unmentionable un miss able on his side, outside of that though he's just another quick driver who has had the opportunity to prove that they could be great if they could get their personal house in order.
I'm not convinced there are other viable options for mclaren. Certainly not with similar talent and proven track record. Unless they can come up with a car capable of dominating then I don't think there is anyone else available who can drag the extra 10th or 2 which might just get them on par with the others and the WDC.
Yes his options vastly reduced but I still suspect he could go anywhere he wanted next year (salary aside) with the exception of red bull.
His personal sponsorship would put most drivers in the shade and doesn't need the money. 12 months in a lotus, force India. I'd love to see it while other seats open up.

The reason I suggested Nicole is that a one-year deal in the US would probably bring him a championship, a shed load of money and time to be with her.
The market will be more open next year, or even 2014 when the new rules come in.
Lets face it while Sam Michael is in a position of authority, McLaren may have a fast car, but it will also have a tendency to screw-up its strategy.

I'm no supporter of Michael's but Mclaren were well capable of screwing up before he ever showed up.As for Lewis, I don't mind where or if he goes. Over the six years he's had in F1 we've seen that he can be brilliantly quick or uninterestingly average. He can be thrilling or frustrating. He can win the WDC if things go his way or he can finish way down if they don't. He can 'have the best race of my life' or act like a spoilt child. Etc, etc.
In other words he's not that special as F1 drivers go. Maybe that has dawned on Ron, too.
