Who has the details of the car weights that were taken on Saturday? I wasn't told the weight of my car and could do with knowing whilst I am pissing about with this DL1 software stuff smile

Oh, and when will the PTWR figures be released and by who?

I need to talk to Geoff to get the weights and I'll let you know.

I think the fairest way untill jr is back is if we release the individual p/w figures to the individual drivers and if they want to pass them on that's fine. Then jr can decide how they are all published as he is the co-ordinator

As to time scale as we are independently calculating them this time me,nick,Leigh to fine tune the method to make sure we all allways get the same results it will take a bit of time so Please bear with us. We will probably also run it past race tech to validate the results.

Can anyone tell me what the point of carrying a logger (£500 thank you very much) and weighing all the cars,is...if ptw is not published until 3/4 of the way through the season and its all done? JR is not back until after Rock, so nothing can be done until then? over 50%???

So, I am racing a car, that is over capacity, stays with a sequential 4.5 race engine Tuscan for several laps...on a power track...and we wont know anything about it until Snett!
I have to say, that after spending a fortune rebuilding my car to original spec, by the best builder in the country, that its fookin useless in the class it was designed to fill.

And, BTW what is the PTW of an A Tuscan now anyway?
What is the power output/tonne of a current car that doesnt have a trick gearbox.

I'd like to see what the fastest GpA cars PTW actually is at S/Stone against the fastest B.

I'm going on holiday...

Nobody said nothing been done about it if any car is over p/w. just that they wouldn't be made public until jr makes the decision on how that's done.

It's all volunteers that are sorting the data and we want to get the process right and sustainable. If you want to share your own data that's fine, but it's not up to me, Leigh or nick if the series should.

Comments like the above don't encourage volunteers to give up their time.

Are you suggesting some people aren't playing to the rules Andy? or that the gap between B and A is too close?

Nick, (and all interested parties including Spitfire (whoever you are confused ))

As Graham has correctly stated, JR has made it clear that he does'nt want the weight data released to anyone until he has seen it. I appreciate that it causes issues but....

Now I am not for one minute suggesting that I have inside information or even suspect that there could be an issue.

I think we should take a step back for a moment and consider the what if scenario.

What if the data suggests that a car is outside of the PTW. He is the only person that a protest could be lodged with and I for one dont want to be piggy in the middle again over arguements while he is away. There was'nt even a hint of one but if a protest of any sort had been lodged at Silverstone, Geoff and I would no doubt have tried to sort it but in the end we would probably have needed to get the final say from JR after we had heard both sides and made our reccomendation anyway.

So let's do it his way. The intention of the series is and always has been to provide everyone with close, good fun racing and we are achieving this at the moment.

Points can be adjusted, getting lost drivers back is likely to be harder to do.

Patience is the key.

FFS guys - how many more times!! This is not the forum for such discussions; we set another up for exactly this sort of thing! Please don't post in a negative vein again on here - it doesn't do the series any good at all biggrin.
