Hey guys,

My wife was reading twitter yesterday and said that Lewis might be pulling out of the F1 Championship this year as his Aunt is due to pass away soon.

Not been able to find anything on Google that backs this up, anyone heard the same?

Would seem absurd, if true. What next; Button to miss Spa over missing cat??

I doubt he'd pull out because of it. He might miss a race at most but not pull out of a whole season.

The story I read said he was pulling out, - of his holiday - and flying back to the UK.

Certainly his tweets seem to indicate he is back in the UK and he is mentioning his aunt a lot. But I havent seen mention of him pulling out of F1 this year.

Schummacher raced (and won, Ralph second) the day after they lost their mother.

I think the story did indeed relate to him pulling out of his holiday.

Absolutely correct.

In fact his PR team posted a story that he would not race out of respect - which caught most of the F1 headlines and then ..... he raced, all part of the usual 'MSC respect' package.

Was this at Imola and did M Schu cry on the podium? I have a memory of that for some reason.

Correct. Jean Toad took the drivers press conference after in place of Mikey. Can't remember what Ralf did...
