Snetterton, lets make it the biggest so far,
Discussion
i Know we have lost a few from the rock that will take longer than 2 weeks to repair, so we need as many cars out for snett as possible, i will be hosting a Barby on the saturday evening for everyone connected to the TVR's, and will be staying trackside this time to enjoy the whole evening,
according to official sources we have a very big crowd coming this time including at least 20 of harbrines customers and we really need to give a good show of cars to help build the series. so please if you are able to get a car out please do so, and please register with the brscc as soon as poss so we can guage the numbers as early as possible,
it looks like we could be having a good party on sat night!!
regards
Tim.

Hi Tim,
Dont forget we need the generator for Snetterton, I have some lights for the hospitality area and we can also have some music via the laptop and speakers.
I will get George to get some ice on the way up and we can convert one of the grey tote boxes to a beer cooler.
I 'missed' the last BBQ so really looking forward to this.

me too, Rob picked the car up today, new gearbox to go in, sort the brake problem, and we should be good to go!
just praying for good weather,
doesn't look like many out at the moment, where have all the sags gone and invitations like doug and andy, will be a real shame to only have a small grid!
still people with good to go cars out there not coming out, just get your cars out and have a race with whoever is near you, regardless of class.

See you all there! If I can bring anything give me a shout (Tim have you still got my number??). If I can get the car stickered, engine back together and ancillaries sorted (need an extra fog light from looking tonight...) and JR can supply 4 tyres in time I'll be there with car! Em is just laughing at the fact I've been back off honeymoon less than 24hrs and I've already worked on the car lol....

I guess that some folk just want to win and aren't interested in just taking part, others are probably just skint and can't justify the cost. I, for one, am really struggling at the moment with the additional costs associated with getting the car running properly together with the cost of 3 race weekends within 5 weeks. Its all about cash flow! No new tyres for me this year but I'm coppering up so that I can finish off the season. If anything, I mean anything, goes wrong with the car at Snett, which requires parts, then I'll not be out at Oulton.just praying for good weather,

i am living on credit cards for the moment, and if i didn't have Harbrine behind me i would be on one set for the season!, and the most important person for me, is Rob from Boss racing our mechanic, can't tell you the amount of times he has got me out for a race when i thought it was all over!! without him i would not be racing!!
not to mention the fact that i love it!! i have had my days when i question my sanity, especially the early days with the s3rbra, but when it all works, there isn't anything to compare with the buzz you get from having a close battle on the track.
probably looking forward to the bbq as much as the racing!
so even if you can't get a car out make sure everyone comes along for the bbq, just hoping for sunshine.

By the time we get to Snett, my car won't have raced for 11 months, so just hope that the rest of the car holds up to the megabucks complete engine re-build and engine bay wiring up-grade + new ECU and coil pack from TVR Power - at least the electrics should be sound!
I've even invested in new rubber - the fronts had done 3 seasons and the rears were shredded by 7 hours on Dom's rolling road - I thought they felt a bit "scratchy" at Oulton last year!
The bhp is modest, but the torque and throttle response are impressive + James is only half my weight - watch out DC!

Quick update from me (and John S).
I'd entered and paid for Snett and intended to have my first race in the green 2 seater, but pulled out after testing it on Wednesday.
I cant get on with the power steering, but more importantly, cooling system woes have ensured that the car is now stripped in the workshop , wih the PAS system removed and the engine about to be pulled and refreshed.
I could have took something else to Snett but i wasnt expecting to be pulling the green car apart so soon.
It's entered for DTEC Oulton round, and prior to that i'll be racing something there on 22 Sept with the Sports/Saloons - as i can just about afford the time/money for a couple of 1 day local race meetings.
John has been looking for PAS for some time ,and is now in the midst of fitting the system to his car, and will be racing at Oulton in Sept and Oct.
Im gutted about Snett, but would have been more pissed off if the green car had expired there, rather than on the doorstep , so that's a good thing.. I think.
Anyway, have a good one in Norfolk

Well, no reason that I know that Deano wont be there (he dont do PH) and Jamie is expecting to be there (He no PH either)...me hopeful 2 atm.
Perry's cars are in bits as we speak. The Rover blew its diff at Mallory (the guys were doing quite well at the time) and the white car is still undergoing upgrades! But he's hoping to make it in something.
I just dont want to put my name on the list until I'm sure.
Hopefully another 3-4 to come!!!
