Cannot ever think of an interview with Charlie..

Appreciate that he must be busy and be seen to remain impartial etc but I would love to see an interview with him or perhaps a feature regrading his role throughout a typical race weekend??

Good point.

I think I remember the briefest of chats when Brundle grabbed him in passing.

I think that his contract forbids him from any TV interviews, like Herbie B. Unfortunately, Bernie does not have the same clause.

When he retires... I'd love to see a biography or something or a program about him and his job. I bet there are some excellent stories to tell.

Watch harder, he's been interviewed a few times, not many i grant you but i guess being race director he's rather busy most of the weekend, there are more races than just F1 you know wink

Probably only about his 'current duties'. I recently filmed an interview with Herbie Blash about his years at Team Lotus with Jochen and the Lotus 72 and we absolutely didn't have a problem with the 'higher-up'.

There was that time when EJ tried on a grid walk...

Eddie: "Can we have a few words?"
Charlie: "No."

Well a warts and all autobiography would be a best seller I think!

In Italy (especially around Maranello) such a book is called an "equestrian head bedspread" wink
