Better safe than sorry though Billy thumbup

I'll be back as usual smile

Have been struggling with the Koni Suspension all season and now whatever oil / gas was in the dampers has now gone.

So, rather than getting them rebuilt I'm going to fit something else. If anybody has any decent dampers for sale then please get in touch smile

The exhaust is knackered throughout so our Dave will be making a new system when he has time. Nowt fancy but it will be a quality stainless system with argon back purge to give a very smooth internal finish.

If I have any money left I'll modify the induction to get rid of the external filters.

Engine will be checked over and a bit of paint will be splashed on the chassis.

That's about it really. Generally I'm really happy with the way the car has been this season.

Hopefully I'll have a bit more confidence to push a little harder next year but unfortunately I'll still only have enough for cash for one set of tyres for the season frown

Is the ptw going to stay the same now Dave?

Now Tims moving to A, it would seem now is a good time to pull B back to a more acheivable level.
300/tonne for B would seem more sensible given the cars that are about...

Had a chat with JR the other day. He has no plans to change the 325BHP/tonne figure. After all, is 25bhp/tonne going to make any difference? Its all down to driver talent I reckon. I could do with a little more of that!

Assuming i can keep earning the ackers, this is my plan..

.Run the RV8 car in a couple of rounds of CSCC Future Classics - as we seemed to have ironed out the bugs and it proved to be pretty competitive in the one FC race we did this year.

.Run the 2 seater in Class A DTEC - We've removed the power steering ,fitting a trick new Diff, and the 4.5 AJP engine is being rebuilt with a couple of mods. it will run a T5 box and no aero, but im still deciding on wide rubber or not.
I did toy with the idea of mothballing it because it is rather lovely, but cobblers to that ,it's a Tuscan and it's going to get a good seeing to next season biggrin.

.Semi retire the Purple car this year and use it for closed season track day's - starting on 24th Nov - at the usual venue getmecoat.

Still not decided whats on for next year...

May GpA my car...
May sell the current Tuscan...
May buy an A car...
May be sensible and not race at all next year! (unlikely but possible)

As for B, 325 is very expensive to abtain in B for new or old B cars inc Tuscans. 300 isnt.
If you want people to race DC...you need to let them have a chance without spending stupid money on engines! I reckon mine is at 325 now (with a cam that doesnt look like a twiglet!!!) so once again I dont mind as far as MY cars concerned

Andy, I'm building engine to the same spec as the 4ltr was so should still have around the same power but a shedload more torque in the 5ltr. My car is too heavy for 325ptw so will need to give it some diet pills lol.

Andy, I'm not bothered mate, I'll go with the flow. If folk want 300bhp / tonne then they need to sort it with JR.I was just passing on what JR told me. No amount of discussion will change anything unless you have the right person involved from the outset. Anything that attracts more cars the better.

Cool, I think both of our cars will need some ballast (Just after my cars has been lifted to 325 rolleyes ) but if we want to get more cars out in B, we have to make it easier to compete. Lets face it, if you have a griff/chim now, you are likely to go in C with a 4L.

If we aren't carefull, B cars will die off for a few years untill the C guys upgrade.

I have a chim in the workshop that would sit in class B but would prefer 300 over 325. Less expensive to achieve plus its easier to pull back a few cars with some cheap ballast rather then have to spend thousands to get the BHP from the engine.

Agreed. A bit of weight in the Tuscan and a small change to the induction system and I could peg it back quite easily.

So would class C be 4.0L V8s and V6 cars in class D, or is the series setting out to loose any V6 cars that may have contemplated racing (and I don't include myself in that statement)
