Team aon wtcc

So after watching the latest round of the wtcc at china and seeing both focus's at the back of the grid slower than the n/a cars that entered and they seem to be going backwards from the begining of the series. So after being a front running team in the btcc to being now where in the wtcc was there any point in the move to the wtcc. Also shows the relative performance of chilton which is slower than james nash.

I there has been loads of trouble with the homologation of parts etc this year so I dont know if thats still an issue.

What I do know is that every time I watch Nash is wiping the floor with Tom Chilton. Seeing his brother on the verge of an F1 drive must really rub it in too!

They were never a front running BTCC team when they had equal machinery.

Does anyone still watch Wtcc?
Used to enjoy it but not enough works teams now and tv coverage seems to have dropped off the radar ( will watch Macau if I can find it on tv anywhere and hope see a new UK world title for Huff)

The last two races in China were epic - best Touring car action of the year so far; knocks BTCC out of the water in terms of quality of driver. It saw not just Huffy driving the nuts off the Chevvy, but sterling drives from Turks & Boardman also.
Pity about lack of Works cars, but Citroen joining the fun next year, following Honda's entry into the fray - promises to be a good year.

Eurosport HD for live coverage of qualifying, warm-up, and both races my friend. They've covered all the action this year.

Hopefully Macau will see a Brit as World Champion. Huffy's to lose.

I saw James at Snett a couple of months ago while Tom was testing. I think they let him have a go at the end of the second day.

Nope nothing yet unfortunately! I'm fairly sure I'll be out next year though, it's whether it's in an S2000 or an NGTC that's the question at the moment!

next years wtcc promises to be worse! citroen is not next year they are talking about 2014. with chevy pulled out there will be less top cars and drivers than this year. and team aon should pack it in. they are embarrassing themselves and ford.

Less politics and the chance to compete on the world stage were the reasons. From what I've read, they're very happy to be there, despite the poor performance. Through time you'll probably see the Focus and Civic get nearer the top of the times, with the performances of the Cruzes, BMWs and Leons dropping as they get older. Those three cars have a lot of performance waivers that the newest cars don't have and won't get.

I like the WTCC. I know it's popular to bash it because it's not the BTCC, but that's my opinion. Really good HD TV coverage, their website is full of info, photos, videos and features. I also like the way the teams and drivers use the internet. Lots of driver videos on Youtube. The BTCC could learn a lot in that respect. The Shanghai races were brilliant, who says F1 circuits are no good for touring cars?
