Old F1 Teams Still Online??
Discussion
Somebody trawling the web found that Pacific Grand Prix is still online!!!

That isn't the original website. If you look at wayback machine, you can see the current page was put up in 2009. I don't know if that is a copy of the original or if it has been mocked to look old. Shame, as it would have made it one of the oldest sites on the web.

Oldest sites? Not by a long chalk. I went to uni in 1995 and the web was quite well established - over 10'000 sites were up by the end of 1994.http://wayback.archive.org/web/20040801000000*/htt...

McLaren had a site in 1995. I remember looking it up at the time. It was the first websearch I ever did.
I think that you are the only male on the internet Eric whose first ever web search was for an F1 team. Quite frankly I am shocked. I would have thought it would have been to do with aviation!

He does mean oldest still online in it's original 1995 form. Unless one of those you mention is still online in it's original pre-1995 form.FourWheelDrift said:

Ah, I understand. I don't think that site is original 100% - the email address is wrong (check it's domain) - I think someone lifted the orginal code and then bought the domain (Pacific don't exist, so someone must be paying the domain renewal and hosting fees)It does have some competition in:
http://acme.com/
http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/coffee/coffee.html
But there are very few, I agree!

Somebody's bought it through GoDaddy according to WhoIs. It says a creation date of 2006, so not sure about it's history before that.Grenoble said:
