Formula 1 World Champion's trophy presentation - When is it?
Discussion
Can you imagine if, at the end of the FA cup final, or the end of the world cup final, etc., everyone went home without the winning team lifting the trophy?
I've never been able to grasp why the presentation of the WDC's trophy happens at some posh dinner during the winter that no one (except a few privileged elite) gets to go to. Surely the last race of the season should have the handover at a special ceremony on the podium, immediately after the ceremony for the top finishers of the race.

Partly because until the race is completed AND the cars have been inspected AND all post race incidents have been completed (2-6 hrs after the flag has gone down) the race results are not final.I've never been able to grasp why the presentation of the WDC's trophy happens at some posh dinner during the winter that no one (except a few privileged elite) gets to go to.
