F1 - Rule changes
Discussion
I apologise to anyone who thought this may have been new inside information.
So if F1 was to change its rules to "anything goes, just go as quickly as you can", what do you think we would see?
Return of the fan car? turbo? wider slicks? what engines?
We've been having this discussion at work and I can only come up with maybe turbo v10s with fan assisted downforce.
Your thoughts?

Much wider car, large capacity v10, high octane fuel, wider slicks, enclosed driver for aero effect, active suspension, traction control, ground effect to a certain degree, Chapman's twin chassis maybe to go with ground effect to stop the driver's teeth falling out, lower ride height, adjustable wings, blown diffusers.
Basically, everything that has ever been banned or removed by rule changes.

Ground effects got banned in the end. had to have flat bottoms cars.

I wouldn't think they would have a Internal combustion engine.Basically, everything that has ever been banned or removed by rule changes.
Does this cover it?

"The prototype vehicle was made to answer Kazunori Yamauchi's question: "If you built the fastest racing car on land, one that throws aside all rules and regulations, what would that car look like, how would it perform, and how would it feel to drive?".[1]"

ETA, they also did an update in 2011, this shows the differences:
