Just had my MSA licence application returned for failed eyesight on my annual medical - the annual medical applies to anyone over 45. Being an old fart, I have developing cataracts in both eyes and the requisite 6/6 vision for corrected vision for racing(this is more stringent than that required to drive a car)was a bridge too far! Hope it's not the end of the road/track for me as I visited my optician today for another eye-test and up-grade to my specs, but realistically this might be my last year unless/until the cataracts become operable.
Oh well back to my GP once I get the new specs and here's hoping for my prospective first year with Future Classics in the Griff!
It won't affect James racing with DTEC this year unless my spannering skills become even more of a liability!
