Verdict on the marshals ?

Well first I'd like to ask you're verdict on the track safety, car design/safety, seat installation and driver talent.....then you can criticise the volunteers....

Dicussed when it all happened.

Last I heard that Giorgio Bartocci was well on his was to making a good recovery but suffered 40% burns - broken ribs and a broken leg.
What you can't see from this is that the seatbelts failed in the crash !

Pretty sure one of the PH regulars knows Georgio and had spoken to him.

Unlucky crash as pit walls have to be solid, cars are designed to crash, but if you hit a concrete call at an angle its going to be bad. Car, seat and belt design and installation will only work to a limit.
Balls of steel by the mechanics, marshals could be quicker. But you have to remember they are everyday people, some with no training to tackle fire.
