This seems to have appeared out of the blue... Hardly a championship anymore with only 4 race weekends! Also, with only two weekends in the uk how can it still claim to be British f3!

There are still 12 races, but the British F3 championship has been on a downward slide since the mid 00's. There is no need to race in Europe, save maybe one odd race - Pau!

In 2000 to 2005 almost all the races were in the UK and it spawned many a good driver. It was good enough for the drivers then, why not now. I do not think chasing F1 & Euro-series coat tails is going to make better drivers/racing. Its the X-factor effect.

Many recent races played out in front of empty grandstands, in places like Silverstone & Monza?1? Anyone who visited the F3 races at Castle Coombe circa 2000-2005 will tell you what a proper F3 crowd really looked like!!

A bloody tragedy; as every year goes by the British fan is denied the opportunity to watch quick single seaters. What the hell do I watch now- sodding Ecoboost Formula Ford? Glad I am old enough to rememebr 50 plus grids of one litre screamers...

They seemed to be going up against the Euro series for a while but now that has low numbers why cant they move it back to a British only series? It's worked for the last 30-40 years so why cant it now?
Although it has clearly been too expensive for anyone other than those with a Red Bull sponsored budget or those with very rich parents/backers.
I would be happy with a 12 round championship alternated between Oulton,Donnington and Castle Combe! I'm sure the money raised at the gate at Castle Combe would be enough to sedate a few of the locals during race weekend....

It will be interesting to see how palmers F3 Cup does this year, had bigger grids than British F3 all last year and will be interesting to see if they get any big name teams such as Carlin or Fortec competing regularly this year
