Twitter seems to have just rust into life with a story that Webber has signed a 5 year deal to race LeMans with Porsche. Nothing has been confirmed yet though.

Good decision, he'll have a lot more fun going flat out in a Porsche then he will pootling about on these Pirelli's.

I feel sorry for whoever replaces him as RBR no.2.

He should tell RB to stuff it now, and then publish his memoirs

^Agreed. This weekend felt like a bit of a 'get back in you box' sort of message.

I'd love to see Mark back at Le Mans with a good few years to rack up a few victories there, and see the honey badger hanging out the back of a Red Bull A team car.

The boy seemed to have a massive grin in place today that seemed to be more than you'd expect for 7th

I read somewhere earlier in the week that it was thought that Mark would be driving for Porsche at Le Mans next year.

He also has a massive grin when he retires, he's just generally a very happy fella.
I hope he gets Webber's seat. Spotted Mr Redbull chatting with him on the grid.

It would make a lot of sense. Apparently Webber has some kind of contract with Porsche already, and they are going to want a top flight driver to spearhead their new LMP1 campaign. I reckon he'll do we'll in sportscars.

I guess you haven't been there since 1987 then? Nowadays the race is a virtual sprint.

My guess is he will take Red Bull Sponsorship for two years to Le Mans and then see what develops in Prototypes. Am sure he will have fun and probably win something too with Porsche if the technology is right.
