plus silverstone is useless for spectating when all the grandstands are closed......
we didn't stay for race 2 unfortunately but had a good wander round the garages.

Cheers
Geoff.

Over heating race one ( electric water pump problem ?) by the third lap it had gone to nearly 120 deg and the ecu started shutting things down, we don't know why as the car has run fine in testing without getting hot, we are going to fit the belt driven pump as you can't tell if the electric one is working until it overheats.

Race 2 , issues with the alternator, the de mister stopped working, disappointing for us as after good starts but it will come good I'm sure.

Well done Tim, Mike and Darren and any one else who finished well, hopefully we will be nearer in the paddock next time, but arriving at the circuit gone 12 pm didn't help.

Craig, when you run the electric water pump, do you also run the thermostat that comes with it? We did at first and had nothing but problems with it... So did many of the MG Racers! We now run it just on full power through a switch on the dash. I let the engine warm up with it off, then just switch it on and leave it. Touch wood had no problems using it this way!

HTH!

Yes Dave

We took it off to inspect it, the thermostat didn't even have the small hole in it that you see on normal thermostats so I drilled on in about 3 mm.

I have lost confidence in it now so will be fitting a brand new Std LS 3 one for the next time out.

Thanks for the advise mate.

Iirc we had the same issue on the a-series in the mg's and ended up running
The pumps on a switch rather than the controller
