I think Paul Di Resta is a good driver, but I think he may need to be a little more diplomatic on TV, I was amazed to hear his comments after he did not have a good quali run, I can understand his frustrations, but it's one thing to have a quiet little moan to the team, but to have a TV microphone stuck in your face and give such a hatchet job, sheesh, talk about biting the hand that feeds you...

I read this morning there was a "scuffle" in the Force India pits, I don't blame a mechanic getting a bit hot under the collar, I am sure they are doing everything to give both drivers the best they can.

Do you work for FI? wink

For all we know, he'd been privately berating the team not getting anywhere. Just playing DA, but I agree it's not professional. Glad he still has the fire in him to do well though.

He comes across as a very dour character, but he must be a driven (pun intended) individual to be successful in motorsport, and that is probably why he gets frustrated when other people's decisions impact on his performance.

He probably could have been more diplomatic, but in the spur of the moment many of us say things we later regret, anyway the subsequent race result will be a boost for him and the team so I doubt there are any hard feelings over it.

No I don't, and yes I guess you could well be right, I was just surprised he was so vocal on TV, but he certainly drove a stunning race, many pundits have been complementing his drive, hopefully the quali for Silverstone will be better, then he gan have a real shot for a podium.

I think Paul is a good driver and was disappointed McLaren chose Perez over him, although with hindsight that may now be a good thing.

I think he's just a little frustrated with the team as they do seem to be making a few mistakes this year.

Whether he has a long term future in F1 is different matter but he will always get a drive in the US with his cousins being Dario and Marino Franchitti

This year is really his make or break year in F1.

Other drivers were improving late on, when the FI was out.

McLaren already have Button for their moaning duties.

PDR is one of the most over-rated drivers ever! Sutil has come back from a year out and is immediately smashing him.

Sutil's one of the fastest drivers out there, but never had the breaks or the car to make a successful career.

The team don't like PDR as much as he doesn't like them!

I've heard that they really don't like him at all, a right chippy little sweaty full of his own self importance I was told.

Not that I've met the fella, and there are always two sides to every story, but I'd put great store in the veracity of who told me this.

I like it when drivers are honest.

Makes a pleasant change from the usual PR speak....
