F1 young drivers test, Silverstone

Aparrantly it's now been announced as a full test with normal drivers to test new tyres.

Not bad for £15, Friday tickets were £35 for the GP.

£3 booking fee sidestepped by buying at the gate.

Quite surprised they're not charging for parking.

Depending on who is appearing I might go to this.

No, Friday tickets were £65 & £12.50 for parking! I think I'll try and get there for the Friday. I'm interested to know how much of the track we'll be able to get to.

They've already done their tyre testing?

Mercedes have said that they still won't be attending.

According to FIA website it may now be extended to the 20th also.

Mercedes still not attending.

Any 'normal' driver can take part so long as testing new tyres.

All General Admission areas open to public as well as Woodcote B and Abbey.

Really? in the past the only access was from Bridge to Copse. If they've opened up the whole circuit then I might be interested in this.

A Roving Grandstand ticket allows you access to any of the following grandstands:

- Woodcote B
- Abbey

This ticket type also allows you to view from any of the General Admission areas during the weekend.

Further Roving Grandstands may be added at a later date

The test isn't over a weekend though so maybe this info isn't relevant?

Will the paddock be open ? I know the European ones are fairly laid back like that.

I'm booking a day off to attend - just don't know if a particular day will be better than any of the others.

Done a bit of net-searching but can't find any detailed info.

Anyone privvy to a timetable of who's there on which day etc.? Or will all teams be on track every day to make the most of it?

Any idea if the decision has been made to extend to the Saturday?

I've heard nothing about the Saturday and to be honest can't see it.

Marussia have declared who they'll have but I dare say you'r not too interested in them.

I can't see many teams releasing who will be there until Monday, remember you can buy the tickets on the gate and that's what I'm planning on doing.

Think I recollect them saying at some point yesterday that race drivers will be there on the third day.
