Brake and Clutch Fluid Changes
Discussion
After James' early retirement from Race 2 at OP last weekend due to clutch problems, I've discovered that the clutch fluid (last changed 2 seasons ago) went "off-scale" for water content when tested yesterday! It begs the question as to how often you should change both brake and clutch fluids - I guess that the accepted wisdom is every year?
No "wise a**e" comments please - this could save other not so experienced DTEC racers an avoidable retirement in future!

I test the brake/clutch fluid after each meeting and like Chanty bleed the brakes after each meeting , Amazon brake fluid tester £20.00
I try to sort / check everything out as soon as possible after each meeting
I said after the race to James check the Brake /Clutch fluid,
people don’t have it changed on there road cars till things go wrong (that makes me money).

I change my clutch fluid every season and I also bleed the brakes after every weekend. I use motul 600 and never had a problem. HTH....
(& Chanty too!)
