Quali:
Lewis
Rosberg
Vettel

Race:
Vettel
Webber
Alonso

I think the Mercs will eat their tyres; Alonso to drive from, say, 9th. Webber from 5th. McLarens to be in the 5th-10th bracket.

Mercedes seem to have improved of late, and as he's won it three times so far so:

Top 3 out of these 5:

HAM
ALO
RAI
VET
WEB

HAM for the win - any of the others for 2nd/3rd

Vettel or Alnnso for the win. Hoping the McLaren's can make some progress. I thought Button had a decent race last weekend.

You forgot the bit in the middle that Webber will go from 5th, down to last due to some error from red bull or crash or otherwise unlikely event that never befalls vettel, before finally finishing second :P

I was relying on him fluffing his start.

Bit difficult as the track temprature normally has the biggest effect in regards to what cars are competitive. RB is normally up there, but then it swaps between Mercedes (cold) and Lotus (hot).

After a very, very quick look on the BBC f1 website I can confirm that not only do you fail at Internet, but they are also not showing it live.

Kimi' got to be a good call now that Lotus have persuaded Pirelli to go for the softer tyre.

MGP nowhere for the same reason.

Weather looks blistering (no pun intended wink ) hot for the weekend, between 36 and 38! degrees on both Saturday and Sunday.

Got to favor the Lotus in those sort of temps?

Very hot track that eats tyres and Mercedes are excluded from the Silverstone test, they will be no-where. I wouldn't be surprised to see them knocked out in Q1 and spend Sunday battling the Caterhams.
I expect we'll hear Lewis on the radio "Now I'm being overtaken by Max Chilton!"

Don't think he would be a happy bunny then, biggrin

Jupp, surely Lotus to get the win, or be close at least. Red Bull behind them, then Ferrari? There is also the change back to softer tyres because of the different compound, but in theory it should be a similar performance because of last year's tyres being 1 step different. Depending how much difference it could help Lotus in addition to the heat.

So here we are on the practice day for what is likely to be the biggest tyre management event of the season and we haven't even got a full page of posts.

Is there a lack of interest in this one?

I just think it is a case of 'see what happens'. It is just going to be speculation otherwise.
