Agree that he seems pretty handy, too. World Endurance Championship wouldn't be a bad idea.

3 years in GP2, 2 wins, 2 3rd places.
Mitch Evans is three years younger, in his first season of GP2 and has already had 3 3rds and 1 2nd.
James Calado is in his 2nd season and has had 3 2nd places, 1 3rd.
Its unfair to criticise Palmer for taking the chances he's given but you do have to wonder if a less well financed driver would be able to continue at the level he is.
Of the young drivers that are around its a real shame Dean Stoneman was struck down by illness. I'd also like to see what Robin Frijns could do given a seat.
