Silverstone parking charges.

Silverstone has made tremendous improvements to its parking facilities over the past few years. With new road layouts and hard standing car parks around the circuit, our parking arrangements now cater superbly for all those wishing to drive to the MotoGP™.

If you are staying in the local area in a hotel, guest house or on one of the campsites around Silverstone and do not require circuit parking, your event ticket will allow you access on foot through the checkpoints during the race weekend.

Circuit Parking Prices:
Two Day - £25
Sunday, Race Day - £15
Saturday Qualifying - £10
Friday Practice - FREE

Car park passes are available subject to availability. You may purchase as many parking passes as you have tickets eg: if you order 4 tickets you may order 4 parking passes.

Please note failure to display a valid pass will result in a civil parking notice. Camping is not permitted in any of the car parks.

If you prefer to travel by motorbike, parking will be provided free of charge.

Beats me why folk pay good money for home cinema and subscriptions for live events yet still pay to watch at a venue.

Depends which track. Silverstone is dull as dishwater to spectate at, but brands/combe are fantastic.

Brands is possibly the best viewing of any track worldwide. Had a suite there for this weekend for BRSCC Club racing. Guest were blown away by the racing

Agreed that Brands is excellent if the Indy circuit is in use but I would say Rockingham UK or many of the shorter US ovals for that matter offer even greater viewing. The most exciting parts of the Brands GP circuit are out of sight

Yes its bloody expensive (what isn't in the uk?) but sat on your fat arse infront of the TV is half as good as the sense of speed and sound you get trackside!

Got to agree with this ^ [EFA]

I'd much rather be there to see / feel / hear the cars, and revel in the spectacle and atmosphere, which ever track that may be.

Call me a mug then. I try to get to an event somewhere every weekend through the fair(ish) weather months and absolutely love it. Nothing can compare to the sonic and visual spectacle of watching live racing. Watching on the telly is fine but it's a totally one (maybe two at a push) dimensional experience. I like to know when there's rain in the air, study different lines, sense the gap between drivers, admire the level of preparation of the cars, chat to the guys who driver them and run them - it's such a fascinating and immersive experience.

Paying to park at Silverstone is a bit rich, but it's a pretty decent motor racing venue these days. If they can build a tunnel over to the Wing them as both spectator and journo I've no complaints. It's certainly no worse than Spa, Monza, Montreal, etc.Oh, and of course standing on the outfield as really quick cars turn left into Maggotts is as amazing a spectacle as any I've experienced during my 25 years at the trackside.

It's the same at Big Events at Brands Hatch, to park up at South Bank it's £5 to £10 sometimes. But off site parking is usually free.
