CSCC at Donny Today

Well done to Tim Davis, pole in qualy and a win at Donny in Future Classics, despite a 30 secs time penalty from winning an earlier race, with a 1min 18.9 on the national circuit today.
With a 36 car grid, it was hectic and hairy at times - oh and I came 24th! Geoff P races his Tuscan in "The Swinging Sixties" tomorrow, so good luck!

Well done Tim!! Out of interest, how hard was Tim pushing?? I noticed the quickest MG on treaded tyres was doin 1.19s which is very quick too!!

Hi Dave first time at donington for me so was taking it steady in qualifying luckily a dry line was forming and this showed me the way so I was two seconds faster in the race. I could have pushed a bit harder in a couple of sections but on r888,s and a lot of lapping of slower cars it was a bit hairy at times.
Great fun though and has spurred me on to do oulton. Car and driver in one piece which is the main thing after taking to the grass at 120 mph courtesy of an xjs who didn't see my bright red very loud tvr right next to his ear an proceeded to drift across the track forcing me off. As I said a lot of fun but a bit scary at times. Am really looking forward to donny on slicks especially the craner curves. 1 min penalty for oulton now so will be hard to get a result next time.

Very well done Tim and Richard good driving by both of you by the looks of TSL.A great result for TVR again. More to come this weekend with car 77 out on Monday at combe, heading for a win also or I won't be able to show my face in the pub after the crash last time out .
