What do you estimate the recommissioning costs to be Andy?
I'm thinking of putting mine up for sale at the end of the season but it will be for silly money as I really don't need it gone. Would like to explore the heady heights of class A

So a discussion about what cars are available!
The interesting comment to me is that A class is the place to be. I had always hoped that the original Tuscans would win through and it is clear from Tim's performance that a Rover engined car can now be competitive with AJP machines in class A so a combined Rover/AJP class could work. Probably the biggest advantage is a six speed sequential as the wrong diff/gearbox combination is a killer at some circuits as I know to my cost from Rockingham. Back to the long second and third gears for Donington means another costly gearbox rebuild but that's racing.
I have been at this a long time now and I am no longer in the first flush of youth!! A tempting offer on No 3 might be considered so that is another possibility for prospective A Class competitors. I believe No 3 to be the most original AJP Tuscan still racing and it has a very fresh and well built engine. This is not yet a retirement announcement so I would probably need something else to race!

as Hugh said, i also would love to see rv8/ajp tuscans in original shape, be the biggest class and combined but i still need a little more grunt on the straights as the Rock showed that even with a good exit onto the bowl i was overtaken by the start line,that said i have shown that a rover (5.2) can hold its own against the ajp's. this season has been my best competative racing since owning the tuscan, and without the dnf at Anglesey i would be in with a shout in a class with over 10 car average each race.

can't everyone who owns one hold the price at £30 k minimum and get these back to the value they should be for the quality and performance not to mention the racing pedigree! these were swapping hands for £39 k 5 years ago, bloody recession.
i will start, mines for sale now @ the first £35k put in front of me. there we go, wasn't too hard was it.
