No naming and shaming I'm afraid.

However, upon reading 'roll cage horror' I knew exactly who you were on about before opening the thread hehe

I got my m3 back from them last week having had a full t45 FIA cage installed, seams good other than the odd very small mark on the bodywork

They did another one for a guy I know and left a number of more significant marks on the car but did sort them out I believe

Yes, I've had plenty of cages made by CC over the years for a broad variety of cars and all have been pretty much spot on.

Mixed review here. First time I ordered a cage off them three years ago, they weren't the most customer friendly of set ups. I enquired about another cage earlier this year, and they were far more helpful.

Are you installing a cage (made remotely) yourself?

Or is the firm fitting for you and you need the measurements for something else?

10% is quite a difference if you're trying to fit something that won't give freely.

I suspect the 10% mentioned was so that they can estimate the amount of tube needed to do the job & therefore the price.

I've used them several times without issue for cage kits and installations. All good.

On the negative side I know of a friend who bought a kit to fit himself and he underestimated the amount of pulling and twisting to get it to fit. Installation is a job best left to the specialists IMHO.

I believe, rightly or wrongly, that as they have become bigger and more successful over the years their willingness to answer the phone and chat about things has declined.

Sorry for the Delay for not answering , WORK , I am fitting this cage myself , I ran a body shop for a Main dealer years ago so quite capable of cutting and shaping material, also been active in Rallying for 40 years ,I OWN A Group 4 Escort , I built it ten years ago and decided to fit a wrc type cage , got the cage in this week seams to fit quite good now but it took eight days to fit and that's only taking it in, waiting for them to ok the test piece now and to make sure they're happy with the position of every thing so I can weld it in fully, I will ad some photo,s when finished
