V8 Supercars chat seems to have gone quiet on here lately but the annual Bathurst-fest is almost upon us. Next Sunday 11th October.

This year the race start has been put back to its latest ever - 11.00am local time - which I think is 2am UK time.

Might plan on getting an early night and getting up for it this year rather than staying up. Anyone else planning on seeing it through?

It's on BT sport too. There's no adverts and the quality of footage is better.

Agreed! I was only going to watch the first hour and record the rest but I was glued to the TV and didn't get to bed till 7am.

Looking forward to this one!

Dave Reynolds just got fined $25k for referring to the female driver pairing as being in the Pussy Waggon. A little bit poor but that's far too big a fine. He did refer to their car being the only one that will have to change pads with wings also.

Looking forward to this, although 1am start, will no doubt fall asleep by 2! Least this year I hope not to have the result ruined by my mother first thing when I wake up ready to watch the rest of it.

I found watching the incar replay and seeing his left leg get completely snapped more of concern than the wrist break. That must have hurt like hell.
